What Is A Submittal Register

This control can exist executed from the SI Explorer's File Menu > Process and Print/Publish > Reports tab.

The Submittal Annals lists the materials, products or items for each Submittal cited in the Job, besides as the Department and paragraph number locations, and any required approval.

When the Submittal Annals is generated, the system:

  1. Searches for the Submittal Article within PART 1 of each selected Section or Job
  2. Locates all tagged Submittal Descriptions (SD) listed in each Sections' Submittal Article.
  3. Locates the Submittal Items actualization below the Submittal Descriptions and throughout the Department.
  4. Generates the Submittal Register and inserts the Subpart location for each Submittal Item in the Sections' text (outside the Submittal Article)

Troubleshooting the Submittal Register

Problem

Cause

Column (f) Nomenclature Government or A/Due east Reviewer has double Thou Thousand The Submittal Item is listed twice in the Submittal Commodity under the same Submittal Description .
Column (eastward) Paragraph # is bare The Submittal Item is but institute in the Submittal Article and is non used anywhere else in the Section's text.
A/E appears in Column (d) instead of Column (f) Classification G must precede the Reviewer as follows: <SUB>G AE</SUB>
FIO appears in Column (d) instead of Column (f) FIO is no longer recognized on the UFGS Submittal Register and s hould not exist used in the Submittal Article

How To Print A Copy Of A Chore's Submittal Register Without Printing the Unabridged Job

  1. From the SI Explorer
  2. Select the Job
  3. Select File > Process and Impress/Publish or select the Toolbar's Print/Publish button
  4. From the Print Processing dialog box, select the Sections tab and uncheck Print/Process Sections in the Printing and Renumbering area

  5. Select the Reports tab, and check only the Submittal Register

  6. Click the Procedure & Impress or Process & Publish button

By following the steps above, only the Submittal Register will be sent to your default printer.

Illustration Icon Indicating Important Information To NoteThe Submittal Register does not appear in the SI Explorer's Processed Files Folder the way the other reports and lists exercise.  It will, however, print when you choose Process & Impress.  If you are publishing to PDF, information technology volition appear in the PDF Files binder in the SI Explorer, and you can view it in that format.

Export The Submittal Register

SpecsIntact provides the capability to modify Submittal information past Exporting the Submittal Register information into a Spreadsheet or Web file.  This format is meant to be used past engineers working in the field.
